When discontentment tries to settle in and make its home in you, don’t give in. God is with you. Rise up and remember that, “Godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world” (1 Timothy 6:6 ESV).
Disappointments will come to us and seek to take us from our appointment with Him. Often they will cause us to miss the time of our visitation by focusing on disappointment rather than His appointed time of destiny. Do not allow them to be a repetitive cycle but rather break the cycle with divine confidence by decreeing God’s promises over your life: “If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31 KJV). “Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy” (Psalm 126:5 NIV).
Disappointments may come, but God will never disappoint us. He is always acting in our best interest and will always bring us something better and to a better place in Him. He loves you and will move mountains in your way.
“I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron.” (Isaiah 45:2 NIV)
